FAMILY/PRIVATE GROUP COURSE

Designed for those who would like to tailor the dates, the activities, and the Japanese study, with more personalized lessons.

It creates opportunity to become more involved in the local community with local families, local kids and their culture.

 
 

This is a sample 2 weeks course and it is possible to change the activities.

COURSE DETAILS:

  • Japanese lessons Monday to Friday, 9AM - 12:30PM

  • Learn Japanese in an authentic Japanese classroom

  • The course is focused on learning practical conversational Japanese to help prepare you for real life situations

  • Organised activities/events after classes and on some weekends to practice what you have learned in class in real life

  • Many opportunities to immerse in the culture and
    to interact with the locals


ENVIRONMENT:

Rich in nature, feel like you have stepped into a Ghibli movie in the breathtaking surroundings. The quiet environment is perfect for learning!

Hiking

Immerse yourself in the beautiful nature, breathe in the fresh air and take it one step at a time! Be amazed by your surroundings.

Kosaka railbike

Have fun on the railroad bike, pedaling with wind blowing in your hair!

Kiritanpo making

Learn to make delicious Japanese food and enjoy time interacting with the locals, and eating the amazing creation. Cooking is a skill that will last a lifetime!

Visit hidden onsens

Only the locals can point you to them.

Meet & interact with local students and residents

Many community events organised!

Sometimes the locals will pop in for a visit, with snacks!

Bicycle riding

Cycle through the beautiful mountainous scenery and rice fields!
(Bicycles provided for each student 24/7 free of charge).
Some electric bikes are available too, to whiz up the small hills, breathing in the fresh air!

Woodcraft/Wood-burning (Pyrography)

Make a hand-made memento with a local craftsman using Akita cedar wood

Fruit/veggie picking (depending on the season)

You can pick fresh & delicious produce! The taste is so amazing.

Play with the Akita dogs!

Visit local thrift shops

Japan’s thrift shops are super clean and hidden gems are waiting to be found!

Lake Towada

A national park, the largest lake in Japan’s main island, you will be amazed at the sheer beauty!

The whole house for a group of family/friends, up to 6 people.
